Your new Model T came from the factory
with no fuel gauge. You could buy a mechanical gauge
from one of the several companies that made aftermarket
accessories for Model T Fords, but most folks just used
one of the sticks that were given away by the millions
as advertising by Ford dealerships. Today sticks are
sold by Model T parts dealers, and some are still given
away as advertising. Some of today's sticks are marked
for use with all four of the tanks used between 1913 and
1927, and some are marked for three tanks. If you want
to make your own fuel gauge stick, here are the
measurements you can use to mark it.
