TRACTOR INDEX
On Saturday, May 13, 2006, members of the
Kansas & Oklahoma Steam & Gas Engine Association went
on a tractor tour through the Flint Hills of eastern Cowley County,
Kansas. After a terribly dry winter, recent rains had begun to
refill ponds, and many little streams were flowing. The weather
was perfect and the hills were beautiful.
Tour leader Irvin Parsons shows
samples of the flint that gives the Flint Hills their name.
