The project included removing the
body from the frame.
It's helpful to lay pieces out
in order of assembly and take pictures.
There were layers of paint, grease,
and dirt over layers of paint, grease, and dirt.
The body was block-and-tackled
onto a rental truck for a ride to the stripper.
Along with the body and frame, hundreds
of other parts came back from the stripper with all grease, dirt,
paint, and rust removed. The Redi-Strip process left a coating
of phosphate to prevent rust until the parts were painted.
The transmission was wire-brushed
clean, repainted, and installed in the newly powder-coated frame.
