After I went to pay the water bill, my journey home took me by Parker Cemetery. I knew something was up when I saw the satellite truck from Channel 10 in Wichita. One glance at the cemetery showed why the news people were there. While some of the trees were destroyed or seriously damaged, many escaped unhurt. I saw a few headstones knocked over, but didn't see any broken. At the cemetery I heard that a house just a quarter mile south of mine had been wrecked. The wind took away the roof and part of the walls. Some of the shingles landed in the cemetery.
